Our team has visited each hospital, to ensure that their standard of care and patient service is high and equivalent to a private hospital in Ireland. Our Goal
We are committed to enabling better access to healthcare for patients on waiting lists in Ireland, giving you access to all the information you need about your patient rights as an EU citizen, so you can get back to your normal life quickly. Our work is about enabling you to find the treatment you need today and not to have to wait a day longer.
Why we exist
Ireland introduced the EU Cross Border Directive in 2014 , and yet many people are unfamiliar with it and the rights it offers to patients. This means that many patients are waiting for treatments for a long time unnecessarily when they could be getting their procedure much sooner.
It is unnecessary for a patient who is sick or injured to wait for treatment, those who are out of work and under financial pressure or requiring their family members to look after them. It is unnecessary for an employer who has to provide long-term sick leave, and it’s unnecessary for those working in Irelands healthcare system who aim to provide better and shorter waiting times for treatments.
We know that some patients end up paying large amounts of money to have their treatments carried out by private providers or travel aboard, paying more than necessary for their procedures in hospitals where standards low, compared to hospitals in the Nordics that we work with.

Who we are
Dr. Fast Track is a new company based in Oslo, Norway who aim to expand their services to all countries in the EU and EEA in the coming months and years.
Our portal provides a direct link between patients and hospitals. It connects patients who need medical procedures with a network of pre-approved hospitals across the EU and EEA.
We are committed to supporting patients with easy access to care and a quick return to normal life. The Dr. Fast Track's platform is designed for simplicity and transparency, providing patients with all the relevant information and support, and allowing them to book treatments easily.
Our Founder
Lars Staveland Nygaard is the founder of Dr. Fast Track. He has a background in healthcare having worked in the private health service in Norway where his family has run a hospital in Haugesund for many years. He has a keen interest in patients' rights and in providing access to high standards of care which led him to establishing Dr. Fast Track.
